Diana（Displacement ANAlyzer）is a widely applied nonlinear structural finite element analysis software in Civil Engineering as well as Engineering Mechanics, which was developed by TNO corporation in 1970s. It is applicable to all structural fields such as civil engineering, bridge engineering, geotechnical engineering, tunnel, underground structural engineering, irrigation works, municipal engineering and fire engineering. In the past two decades，Diana has been upgraded from Release 8.1 to 10.1, experiencing constantly tremendous improvement in GUI manufacturing, command console syntax simplification, enrichment of element and material library. However, no academic works so far systematically introduce this extraordinary structural software in the domestic academic field. Additionally, owing to the barrier of language，consulting and studying manual of this software is also an obstacle to some users especially beginners.
