He used to be an editor and journalist of Anhui People~s Broadcasting Station, a professor of Nanjing University and Southeast University, and a doctoral supervisor. He has been engaged in the teaching and research of Chinese philosophy and Marxist philosophy for a long time. Retired from Southeast University in October 2012.
