Recently, the list of Outstanding Chinese Books in Foreign Edition and Outstanding Foreign Books in Chinese edition was announced. After the initial evaluation, re-evaluation, and final evaluation, a total of 100 excellent books in foreign edition were in the list. The Grand Scribes Records (Vol I) published by NJUP was one of them.
The book was translated by famous American sinologist and translator William H. Nienhauser, Jr. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and jointly published by Nanjing University Press and Indiana University Press, aiming to present a complete, uniform, faithful and scholarly English translation of the series.
The annual award is jointly sponsored by International Cooperative Publication Committee of China Publishing Association, China Press and Publication Research Institute and Publishing Reference Magazine, which promotes the promotion of excellent Chinese culture. It has attracted wide attention and praise from the publishing industry at home and abroad.
